A chronological film showing the bay of San Francisco in the winter circa 1926. The music and film start around 4:30am just outside the bay, then as the day progresses the scene continues into the ship yards and docks.
Three of my tracks where used for this documentary to give a dystopian edge to the feeling of the visual content the director thought best complimented his idea of despair in the subject matter.

In my musical lifetime of over forty years I have gained both the ability and the technology to create unique modern and classical musical compositions in many genres. Being able to control audio positional depth via Rolands Motional surround sound and via Ambisonic manipulation, this gives me the Power to create new and especial Sounscapes and Compositions for all Visual, Immersive and Interactive media.
I am using Universal Audio hardware to record and produce with. The Apollo audio card has Universal Audio ARM architecture for no latencey realtime recording along with some of the best realtime effects both vintage and modern. Using UAD LUNA recording workstation I can achieve a true and authenticly warm analouge production that can fascilitate great acoustics resonance and precise AD/DA conversion that is a big advantage over productions in Pro tools and Logic X.


I used synthesizers and loopstations in an experiment to create music from voltage changes of different pharmaceuticle materials evaluated by the scanning output of a spectrum anylizer.

I have been studying music production and have attended the City of Liverpool College for the last three years, improving my recording and production techniques. This knowledge is crutial when using Digital Audio Workstation software such as Pro Tools , Logic Pro X and more recently LUNA to record and produce in realtime analogue for live performances that I play.
More recentley I have been using Wwise for use with Unity and Unreal game engines using Devolpement software in VR for the Quest 2 headset enabaling full ambisonic manipulation that can be applied to many different Media that require surround sound.

MPE
MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) is the biggest change in electronic sound since the invention of the synthesizer. Dozens of hardware and software companies have now joined this movement to make music creation tools more expressive.
On a piano keyboard you control sound in one way: the force of strike on the keys. The soft silicone keywaves of Seaboard RISE 49 open up a new way to shape sound and make music through Five Dimensions of Touch. These movements are intuitive, so you can quickly start playing with far more expression than ever before.

Motional Surround
The INTEGRA-7 introduces a new era of spatial sound design. Motional Surround — derived from Roland’s proprietary RSS (Roland Sound Space) technology — lets you control not only the left/right panning of sounds, but also their depth, even placing them behind you! A solo instrument can be placed nearby, for example, while the backing or percussion instruments can be placed at a distance, thus creating a sound field with natural width and depth. Ambisonics
Spatial audio is a powerful way to fully immerse a user and direct attention within a 360 video or VR experience via sound. A huge part of our attention can be directed with audio cues but a fully immersive experience requires a detailed spatial audio mix and not just cues that are added on as an afterthought. Spatial audio makes what we hear a believable auditory experience that matches what we see and have experienced. And for this precise reason, for the most realistic and impactful experience, it is pertinent for the sound design to be a part of the creative brief from the very beginning as bad or misplaced audio design and cues can be a deterrent to a convincing outcome.

Creating dynamic bespoken compositions that are Fresh, Emotive and Immersive
The intergration of MPE, MOTIONAL SURROUND SOUND and AMBISONICS via the Roli Seaboard keyboard and Integra 7 module allows me to put 5 dimensions of keyboard expresion using Equator, Strobe2 and other MPE related software. The hardware capability to use 16 midi channels of the Roland catalougue of over 6000 instruments that can all be manipulated in realtime room positioning using the Roland Integra-7 Motional surround sound and will enhance the depth of a stereo field using two speakers or 5.1 surround.
